Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon Mee

Today I was at Hong Lim Food Centre for lunch. It was pretty quiet today as most people should be sleeping after watching the live reports of the PE 2011. It was a great timing to queue for the famous Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon Mee. I ordered a big bowl of Curry Chicken Bee Hoon for S$5.50. The Curry Chicken Bee Hoon was absolutely delicious. The gravy is thick and fragrant and the chicken is tender. I am quite fussy over the doneness of potatoes but I like their potatoes that are cooked till it's nice and soft. You can also find ingredients like fishcake, tau pok and bean sprouts. If you like your curry mee spicy, you can add some sambal chilli and your curry mee will be more fragrant and spicy. You can even taste the small bits of dried shrimp in the chilli sauce. However, if you are health concious, you might find this dish is a little oily. But for a nice bowl of curry noodles like this, I think it's definitely worth you exercising to burn the extra calories away. You must not give this a miss.

Ipoh Hor Fun

The Fountain Food Terrace at Suntec City is one food court whereby you'll find many stalls and variety to choose from but I would usually order Curry Pork Chop Hor Fun from this Ipoh Hor Fun stall. Instead of using noodles to go with Curry Mee, this stall actually uses hor fun. Surprisingly, the hor fun goes pretty well with the curry. The curry is tasty but I think that the gravy can be thicker. The pork chop is well marinated and it's nice and tender on the inside. The pork chop is one of the better ones I have tasted. Overall, I find that the Curry Pork Chop Hor Fun is pretty good especially for the pork chop. You can give it a try if you are around the area

Boat Quay Wanton Mee (秀口基面食)

I was at Amoy Street Food Centre for breakfast today. While I was walking around thinking of what to eat, I  remembered that there is a stall that sells nice Chicken Curry Mee. I decided to order a bowl of Chicken Curry Mee and I'm glad that it was still as delicious. The chicken and potatoes are cooked till it's nice and soft. The curry is thick and goes very well with the noodles. The taste reminds me of the curry my grandma used to cook. This is one Chicken Curry Mee not to be missed. Yummy!!

The Original Katong Spoon Laksa Since 1950

I was walking around Queensway Shopping Centre and as usual I decided to grab something to eat. I happened to pass by this Katong Spoon Laksa and the smell of the Chicken Curry drew my attention. Therefore, I ordered a bowl of Chicken Curry and a bowl of Laksa to share with my wife. The Chicken Curry is indeed very delicious, the curry is thick and well absorbed by the chicken. The chicken is tender and the potato is soft. If you dip the bread into the curry, the taste is simply awesome, the curry just ooze out of the bread. For those curry lovers, you must not give this stall a miss. If you are a big eater, you may want to consider ordering a bigger bowl as the portion is really little.
