High Street Tai Wah Pork Noodle

I was at Hong Lim Food Cente today to check out this stall called High Street Tai Wah Pork Noodle. This stall serves very good Bak Chor Mee and the queue is usually very long during peak hours. I ordered a bowl of Minced Meat Kway Teow dry with chilli for S$4.00. The Kway Teow is very delicious, the amount of vinegar and chilli sauce is just right. The ingredients such as the minced meat, sliced pork and liver is very fresh and tender. The dumplings are filled with minced meat and diced flat fish. The soup is also very tasty and you can taste its natural sweetness; It is filled with the goodness of the minced meat and sliced pork. This is one of the better minced meat noodles that I have tasted and you must definitely give it a try.

Teochew Street Mushroom Meat Noodle

I was at Chinatown Smith Street Food Centre for lunch today. When I was at this stall called Teochew Street Mushroom Meat Noodle, I noticed that the queue was not too long today and therefore I decided to order a bowl of Minced Pork Kway Teow for S$3.00. There is usually a long queue with an average waiting time of about 30 minutes. The Kway Teow is smooth and silky with the rich flavour of the lard, vinegar and chilli sauce. The ingredients are fresh and consists of sliced pork, minced pork, fishcake, fishball, meatball and crispy flat fish. The crispy flat fish is fragrant and makes the the kway teow more tasty. 58 Minced Pork Noodle

Today, I will share with you another stall that sells good Bak Chor Mee. This stall has been around in Taman Jurong selling Bak Chor Mee for many years. The secret to Bak Chor Mee is the lard and chilli sauce and not forgetting the fresh ingredients. I always like to order Kway Teow dry with lots of chilli from this stall. The Kway Teow is a perfect blend with the lard and the chilli sauce. The mushrooms added into the bowl makes the texture and taste even more delicious. However, I find that the minced meat and sliced pork has some veins and fats which is not to my liking. Having said that, the minced meat, pork liver and sliced pork is soft and tender.

Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle

I have craving for a good bowl of Minced Pork Noodles today and as usual I decided to head down to my favourite stall at Crawford Lane called Tai Hwa Pork Noodle. This Minced Pork Noodle stall has won numerous awards and recommendations from various food variety channels including makansutra.  I decided to order Bee Hoon dry today. The amount of chilli and vinegar that was added into the Bee Hoon is just nice, making it not too sour or spicy. Lard and crispy flat fish are also added into the Bee Hoon to make it taste fragrant. This is the best Minced Pork Noodle I have ever tasted and I must say that the ingredients used are very fresh. The pork liver is very soft and fresh but most importantly not overcooked. You can also taste the crispy flat fish being added in the dumplings making it more fragrant. The soup used is the minced pork that is freshly cooked throughout the day making it rich in flavour. Seaweed is also added to soup to add more taste and flavour. Each time I try the noodles, the taste and texture is consistent. This stall has perfected the art of making Minced Pork Noodles and you must try to believe!

I decided to go for something less sinful today and therefore chose to go for Minced Pork with Fish Maw Kway Teow Soup at Seng Kee Mushroom Minced Pork Noodles. At the shop, you will notice alot of awards displayed on the wall for fine culinary and pictures of food variety channel visiting the place. The Minced Pork with Fish Maw Kway Teow Soup cost about S$8.00 per bowl. Personally I think that the money is well worth it especially if you are craving for a bowl of rich flavoured minced pork soup with fish maw. The soup base is full of flavour with the minced pork and crispy flat fish. They use fresh ingredients such as the minced pork, bean sprouts, pork liver, fish dumpling, seaweed, fish maw and last but not least, the braised mushroom. It's like drinking a bowl of rich flavoured steamboat soup with lots of ingredients in it. The soup is simply delicious to the last sip. Yummy!!!
