I went to check out this traditional Hokkien restaurant along Jalan Besar. Quan Xiang Yuan (Jing Ji) Seafood Restaurant. It serves traditional Hokkien cuisine. This restaurant has many awards and recommendations by several variety food channels. I ordered a few of their popular items such as the Mixed Platter, Sea Cucumber with Duck, Hokkien Mee, Kong Bak Bao and Vegetables (You Mai Chai). The Mixed Platter consists of Prawn Roll (Hei Zhou), Prawn with Mayonaise, Century Egg, Jelly Fish, Fish Cake and their home made Sausages. The Sea Cucumber with Duck is stewed till it's nice and soft. Their signature dish is the Hokkien Mee, the gravy is rich and thick, adding flavour to the noodles. The sliced Lor Bak for the Kong Bak Bao simply melts in your mouth. Their prices are reasonable and value for money especially for their generous serving. You must try their Hokkien Mee, Sea Cucumber with Duck and Kong Bak Bao if you patronise the restaurant.
